From working in marketing in the world of big tech, and now becoming a leading voice for diversity and equality in Taiwan, Sandra Hoe has built a career and a platform on her own terms. With over 82,000 followers on Instagram, she uses her voice and influence to challenge conventions, bring people together, and create space for different perspectives.

In this talk, Sandra will share her personal journey of making unconventional choices, navigating challenges, and discovering the power of embracing what makes us different. From pioneering the first drag queen banquet at Songshan Fengtian Temple to collaborating with corporations and communities, she will offer a unique perspective on how inclusion can bridge seemingly different worlds.

Beyond her personal story, Sandra will shed light on Taiwan’s social inclusion landscape, exploring how cultural norms shape our perceptions of difference, and how individuals can turn their differences into a source of connection and positive change.

Whether you are an expat building a life and career in Taiwan, navigating a cross-cultural workplace, or simply questioning what it means to follow your own path, this conversation invites you to rethink leadership, belonging, and the courage to be different.

💡 A little note: You may know Sandra Hoe as a drag queen, but on this occasion, he’ll be joining us as Benson, in masculine attire, to share a different side of his story and personal journey. Join us for an evening of honest stories, fresh perspectives, and inspiration to lead beyond the norm.
